PADI Advanced Open Water Certification
When you first began diving you earned your open water diver certification, now it’s time for you to learn some advanced diving skills to be a better diver. Of course the better & more experienced you are, the more safe you will be. That’s why PADI created the adventures in diving programs. It expands on the knowledge and skills that your open water course touched on.
Additionally:
First and foremost, there is no class or pool time. The small amount of book work is done through self study (it is reviewed at the dive site with the instructor prior to the dive) and the dives are in an open body of water.
You’ll gain more open water experience under the direct supervision of a PADI instructor. You’ll get an introduction to a variety of different courses and special dive activities. Your recommended depth rating goes from 60 to 100 feet.
As an advanced open water diver you’ll be able to continue your dive education by moving on to rescue diver, dive master, or master scuba diver. Plus there are a lot of resorts and charter boats that require an advanced level of training. This rating will allow you to dive at those types of places.
This course is all about scuba diving and having and fun.
